Midnight Tram Traveller

After the Rain captures a quiet moment in a city that never quite sleeps. A dark-haired figure stands in profile beneath the night sky, wearing a deep burgundy coat as rain traces the street around them. Teal shadows settle over the buildings while amber lights glow through shopfront windows, creating a cinematic contrast that feels both intimate and expansive. The illustration has an anime-inspired, painterly finish, with expressive brushwork and softened urban details.

This vertical city portrait brings a reflective mood to contemporary interiors. Hang it beside a desk, in a reading nook or on a narrow bedroom wall where its tall composition can make use of limited space. Its blue-green and warm orange palette pairs beautifully with charcoal furnishings, dark timber, simple black frames and understated modern décor. It also offers an atmospheric focal point for an apartment entryway or a creative studio.

For anyone drawn to rainy streets, character-driven illustration and late-night city scenes, After the Rain is a thoughtful way to add personality to a room. The interplay of light, shadow and stillness makes the artwork rewarding to look at from a distance or up close. Choose a print size and finish that suits your space to give this evocative scene the presence it deserves.
